What is the GLTV3 Reed Switch Fuel Level Sensor?
The GLTV3 is a reed switch liquid level sensor. Sealed reed switches are positioned inside the stainless steel probe shaft; a float with built-in magnets rises and falls with the liquid level, triggering the reed switches to generate a signal — resistance, current or voltage — that changes proportionally to the level. The signal is transmitted to the gauge via wires, giving an accurate, easy-to-read level indication.
The float is the only moving part of the sensor, minimizing potential mechanical failures and delivering precise, long-term measurement. The GLTV3 is built for harsh environments: corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction, IP67 protection, and a wide -40 to +85°C operating range.

Installation Guide
- SAE 5-hole flange mounting — bolt the flange onto the standard 5-hole tank opening; 5 pcs M5 screws are included with the goods.
- NPT 1 1/2" threaded mounting — thread the sensor into the matching tank port.
- BSP 1 1/4" threaded mounting — for BSP-standard tank ports.
- The O-ring seal ensures leak-proof, maintenance-free installation. The float is factory-assembled; no on-site calibration required — connect the wires to the gauge and the level is readable immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions
What type of sensor is the GLTV3?
The GLTV3 is a reed switch-based liquid level sensor. A magnet embedded in the float actuates sealed reed switches inside the probe tube, providing accurate and reliable level measurement for various liquids.
What output signals does it support?
Multiple output options, customizable per application: Resistance 0–190 Ω or 240–33 Ω; Current 0–20 mA or standard industrial 4–20 mA; Voltage 0.5–4.5 VDC or 0–5 VDC.
What are the measuring range and accuracy?
Range: 100–2000 mm (custom ranges available). Accuracy: ±10 to ±40 mm depending on total length; higher precision available on request.
What types of liquids can it measure?
Fuels (diesel, gasoline, alcohol), water (potable, wastewater, general-purpose) and mild to moderately aggressive chemicals — material compatibility should be confirmed for special media.
What materials are available for construction?
Probe: L1 SUS304 / L2 SUS316 (enhanced corrosion resistance). Float: S1 Plastic (fuel/oil), S2 SUS304 (water, mild chemicals), S3 SUS316 (wastewater, corrosive environments).
What are the IP rating and operating temperature?
IP67 — dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion. Operating temperature -40~+85°C, suitable for harsh environments (trucks, marine, outdoor generators).
Does it support alarm functions?
Yes. Optional reed switch alarm contacts: H1 high-level alarm, H2 low-level alarm, H3 no alarm (default).
What are the power requirements?
