Background

An agricultural irrigation project company in New Zealand received a smart transformation project for irrigation wells. It needed to upgrade the previous irrigation wells to achieve automatic water level monitoring, automatic start and stop of the pump and wireless remote transmission of data, improve personnel efficiency and achieve unmanned operation.


Customer Operating Conditions

The customer's deep well is about 100m, the static water depth is maintained at 25-45m, the submersible pump depth is about 80m, and the well head diameter is 60-80mm, and there is a small operation room next to the well to control the start and stop of the submersible pump and the liquid level monitoring display. There are thunderstorms in the local summer, which often cause damage to the measuring instruments.


Solution Recommendation

After understanding the customer's on-site working conditions, we recommend that customers use our small diameter liquid level sensor + display control instrument GPY119 + wireless module GRT102 to achieve water level control and remote monitoring.

The GLT530 liquid level sensor has a diameter of 16mm, a range design of 55m, and a cable length of 130m. The product has an internal lightning protection module design, and the instantaneous power supply of 4kv will not cause damage to the sensor; the installation depth is 98m to prevent the impact of sediment, while maintaining a vertical distance of more than 15m from the submersible pump to prevent data interference.


The GPY119 display control instrument sets a low-level alarm, and automatically stops the pump when the water level is lower than 22m to prevent damage caused by idling of the water pump, realizes an automatic control loop of high start and low stop.

The GRT102 wireless module collects water level data and synchronizes it to the cloud platform to realize remote monitoring of water level data. The water level alarm information reminds the staff to handle it in time by email.
